100年前の民藝、150年前のリバティ運動、そして現在のローカルラグジュアリー

奈良・京都を拠点に世界をつなぎなから活躍する北林功さんをお迎えした雅耀会第５回、大好評をいただき終了しました。

100年前の民藝、150年前のリバティ運動が戦時の不穏に対する文化的抵抗であったように、いまローカルラグジュアリーを唱えることは、分断と過剰消費の時代に持続可能で人間的な豊かさを取り戻す道筋を示すこと。そんな方向性を共有していただきました。

ローカルラグジュアリーは地方の工芸のおみやげ品を作ることでもないし、観光を巻き込むことでもない。世界のラグジュアリーの潮流にダイレクトにつながる考え方です。

Just as the Mingei movement a century ago and the Liberty movement 150 years ago served as cultural resistance to the unrest of wartime, advocating local luxury today points to a path for restoring sustainable, human-centered prosperity in an era of division and overconsumption. Mr. Kitabayashi shared insights aligned with this very direction.

Local luxury is neither about producing regional crafts as souvenirs nor about tying them to tourism.

It is a sustainable way of thinking that connects directly with global luxury trends.
