Y&Sons has opened a new store in Omotesando, offering men’s kimono that can be worn easily over shirts or knitwear.

With this opening, all four brands under Kimono Yamato are now located in the same area. Congratulations!

President Takayuki Yajima, who continues to bring fresh innovation to the kimono industry, is also featured in depth in The Complete History of Apparel Through “Innovators” (Revised & Expanded Edition). I highly recommend reading it. A former firefighter and hotel professional, he joined the family business and has broken through the “norms” of the traditionally closed kimono world with remarkable speed.
