展覧会場の壁はウォーホルのシルクスクリーン作品の色からとられた原色のブロッキングで、イカゲーム味もあり。

スタイリッシュな空間で、あらゆる変装セルフィーを撮り続けたウォーホルの脳内に思いを馳せました…… 。承認欲求とコンプレックスを冷徹な視線で昇華させ、アートに転化していった人だったのかもしれません。

青学ラグジュアリーマネージメントのゼミの一環として学生と一緒に訪れ、アート・カルチャー＆ヘリテージ部門の渡邊文菜さんよりたっぷりお話を伺いながら堪能しました（役得）。さすがの深く詳細な解説で、学びの多い時間となりました。ありがとうございました。

The gallery walls are boldly color-blocked in the primary hues drawn from Warhol’s own silkscreen palette—giving the space a touch of Squid Game energy.

In this stylish setting, I found myself imagining the inner workings of Warhol’s mind—the man who endlessly staged his own transformations through the camera lens. Perhaps he was someone who sublimated desire for approval and personal insecurities into art, with a gaze as cold as it was visionary.

As part of my Aoyama Gakuin University Luxury Management seminar, I visited with my students and had the privilege of hearing an in-depth talk from Ms. Ayana Watanabe of the Art, Culture & Heritage Department. Her detailed explanations added depth and texture to our experience—an inspiring, richly educational visit. My sincere thanks.

以下は、ウォーホルの容貌コンプレックスと自撮りに関して考えた、きわめて個人的な感想です。

彼がほぼ毎日撮影し続けてきた自画像シリーズ。セルフィーですね。学芸員の方の解説によれば、彼は自分の容貌に強いコンプレックスをもっていて、かつらやメガネを駆使するだけでなく、あらゆるタイプの女装をしてまで自分のバリエーションを撮り続けていた。

第三者の目からこうしてずらりと並んだ彼の自撮りを見ると、美醜など通り越して（そんなことを意識すらさせない）すべてが彼の「特徴」であり、らしさ」であり、アートに昇華していて、バリエーションが増えれば増えるほど、ただ「ウォーホルだなあ」という感慨が残る。

彼はこのようにして自身を見慣れる、自身を一定の型にはめずにあれこれ遊んでみるという 繰り返しを通して、常に新しい容貌の可能性を探る途上に自分を置いた。

そうすることで コンプレックスともうまくつきあったのかもしれないなあ…。
