新連載「ラグジュアリー・ルネサンス」が始まりました

4日付夕刊から、日経新聞で新連載が始まりました。テーマは 「ラグジュアリー・ルネサンス」 です。

いま日本では、西洋中心のラグジュアリー観から離れ、日本独自の文化的オリジンに根ざした「リアリティ」や「本物の豊かさ」を求める動きが静かに芽生えています。この連載では、過度な伝統主義に陥ることなく、現代を生きる日本にふさわしく、そして未来に希望を灯すようなラグジュアリーのあり方を、多角的な視点から探っていきます。

第1回は、イントロダクションです。

Luxury Renaissance: Why It’s Time to Redefine What Wealth Really Means

In Japan, a quiet shift is underway—from a Western-centric view of luxury toward a pursuit of authenticity, rooted in Japan’s own cultural origins. This series explores what luxury could mean for contemporary Japan: a richness not bound by Western ideals nor by rigid traditionalism, but one that speaks to our present moment—and offers light for the future.

This is the first installment of a yearlong journey into reimagining luxury from multiple perspectives: culture, craftsmanship, well-being, and beyond.
